Finished the bottom pages. Totally spilled ink on the top page and basically erased little sister. I’m taking a break right now and I may stream a little later and try to salvage it.

YOU GUYS I FOUND MY PAINTS
Underpainting the bottom pages, almost done with the spread on top. Need to apply more color and final lines.. cant for a couple days probably- need to relocste some supplies.
This is mostly still just underpainting, with a MITE of color. Not sure if I’m gonna try to tackle the overpainting tomorrow (my nice brushes and most of my paints are … somewhere) or if I am gonna refine the pencils and begin underpainting the next two pages, instead.
I skipped the page before this because it’s just been SO LONG since I was working on it, I do not remember what I was doing and need to begin again. That brings me to a total of four pages need to be re-done, which I guess means I at least won’t be wasting a sheet of arches.
Sure it LOOKS like I’m taking color theory a little too literally, but I have a plan, I swear!

The way that Mongreldog draws Thom was one of the two major inspirations for the style I ended up using when working on The River, so it seemed fitting that I doodle up SOMETHING of the character.
I was originally going to do this in watercolor but then I needed examples for my commission book at Further Confusion so I finished it in marker instead.
Just wanted to let you know that Isabella’s birthday was a couple of days ago.
She would have been 7 this year.
Got to see the Dealer’s Den map today and find out where they posted us! Upon seeing the assignments, Twix informed me that we are in a Box of Awesome, and I am inclined to agree- we have some pretty radtastic table neighbors.
This isn’t exactly Related to The River but I figure another update about what’s up in my life couldn’t hurt!
